Alaska Story Project Podcast

Thanks to an invitation from my old friend, Dan Kowalski, I enjoyed recording a podcast with the Alaska Story Project.

You can check out my interview here. In this, I talk about learning the necessity of paying attention while I was fishing in Alaska three decades ago and how this practice continues to inform my life and writing. I also share poems from Passings and Hold Fast. And while you’re there, check out some of the other podcasts—-Dan has interviewed a variety of Alaskans, from fishers and writers to activists and scientists, including a whale research biologist who’s been studying the whales in SE Alaska for decades.
