Readings

Coming Up in January 2021:

Jan. 7 at 7 pm: Take a Stand Virtual Reading

I’ve been invited to moderate another virtual reading from the Take a Stand: Art Against Hate anthology from Raven Chronicles.  The reading last fall was very powerful---you can check it out here---and while the readers are different, this one promises to be equally powerful.  To find out more, check here.

Feb. 10 at 8 pm Light in Winter Reading

I’m looking forward to reading with fellow poet Saul Weisberg, executive director of the North Cascades Institute in virtual event we’re calling Light in Winter: A Dialogue between Two Poets. You can register for it here.

I gave three readings from Hold Fast in October. You can view them on the Read & Watch page.

Here’s the reading I gave to the Olympia Poetry Network on October 21, 2020—hope you’ll check it out! For more readings, see the Read & Watch page.

    Fishtrap Workshop Series Fall 2020

In this six-week online workshop, we’ll read poems written by contemporary poets in response to these challenging times and discover how poetry can sustain our spirits. Focusing on reading poetry as a form of mindfulness practice, we’ll take the fear out of reading poetry and encounter diverse voices that speak to all of us.

Based at the beautiful Keene Channel Lodge, this retreat will combine daily meditation and guided writing practice with sea kayaking excursions into the heart of Southeast Alaska’s Inside Passage. Note: This workshop was re-scheduled from 2020, and we’re hoping we’ll be able to travel safely again by August of 2021!
