“Holdfast” Poem Set to Music

I’m honored that former colleague, friend, and talented composer Rick Asher was inspired to set my poem “Holdfast” to music. You can listen to it here—with a bow of gratitude to Pat Dixon for providing the stunning visuals to accompany the beautiful singing by Evan Norberg. Thanks to all—-and hope you’ll take a listen. It turns out to be a fitting poem for this week, as a quieter-than-usual Thanksgiving approaches, followed by a winter in which we’ll need to continue to hold fast. I wrote this poem in August several years ago, thinking of how challenging November can be, without an inkling of the challenges we’d be facing in 2020. I hope you enjoy it.
